Boosted air temps.

Postby sidewaysreilly » Sun, 10 May 2015 7:33 +0000

Lads ,

what temps are ye running under boost, cruise etc.

Want to compare my chage-cooler temps with those of an Intercooled Car.

Cheers.

as far as I remember, around 10C above ambient (except in the winter). I haven't checked it out in ages but will take note over the next week or so.

At the last Octane trackday at the beginning of the month my intake temp ran as high at 25 Deg after a few laps of sustained hard driving and approx 16 deg when not ragging it. I'd say the air on the hotside of the intercooler was above 75 degrees or so (as I only measured it once or twice).

so, have been keeping an eye on it and yep, looks like its between 5-10C above ambient this weather when cruising about.
17c ambient last week, temps went from 22c cruise to 30C+ with some ragging.

How are yours looking?
