I see you've the e36 coupe - very nice car. I really want an e30 but it's getting harder to find a straight one

The build quality on Beemers is fantastic (in fact on German cars in general). I've ran a 2004 320d for almost two years and it has been faultless. Pulls really cleanly, and in 2nd or 3rd gear you gather speed more quickly than you realise......and it returns a consistent 48mpg (over 50mpg on a decent run).


That said, I get bored with cars very quickly (much to the bank managers amusement!). I'm about to pass the beemer on to my other half, and have a VW Golf (TDI) GT Sport ordered - due to arrive next week. Wonder how long that will last!

i had 2 bmws over the years.
First was a 1986 316, It was the worst car i ever drove.
Then stuiply i went and got a 520 1987
That was worse, swore i'd never buy a BMW ever again.
That said the sister has a 2000, 320 auto and it's very nice.
