Almost made it from Mullingar to Athlone with the roof down yeaterday - but the clouds opened and I decided one shower a day is enough (whether I need it or not  ).

Getting more used to the car now, and have noticed recently that the standard stereo is rather fine sounding - and does a great job when topless. A friend recently bought an A4 (S-Line) Avant and added a Bose stereo for £600 (yes - Sterling, not Euro), and he was convinced the stereo in the 5 was also a Bose system......

Drove from Cork to Kinsale and on to the old Head with the top down and it was fecking Brill..However...
I parked the Mx with its top down at the old head ( Remote beauty spot by the edge of a cliff) and turned to walk away to have a look at the scenery and three blokes gathered around the mx " Oh they are just having a look at her I thought " and turned to keep walking away..5 secs later I turned around to see one guy shifty and starting to bend into the mx with the intention of nicking the stereo !!!!!!

Long story short ... Polish ...three of them...one of me...I left a roar he walked away and got into a waiting car...then the cheeky sod rose a can of dutch gold to me as he passed by and mimed "Cheers !!!

Still a great day though .... :D
