Hi Folks,
I had a minor accident and had my front bumper resprayed. I have just got the car back from the bodyshop and I ordered a new "eternal flame" bumper badge from MX5parts.co.uk (the original badge came off).
The new badge has two prongs on the back which I can snap off but it seems the wrong dimensions to me (but I may be wrong). Does anyone have an original "eternal flame" badge fitted to check - the dimensions of the new badge are approx 6.6cm x 5.1cm.
Assuming it is the same as the original can anyone give the precise location for fitment on the bumper/nose cone (want to make sure I get this right)!
Thanks

Hi SW,
Welcome!
if there's no holes in the new bumper to "recieve" the prongs, why bother fitting one @ all?
I got a new bumper on in the summer and have left the car de-badged at the front - its much cleaner look but its each to their own.

Hi DaStig, Thank you for the reply - the car is totally original (except for the Sony MP3 stereo) and so I want to restore it to its former glory....bit sad I know...there are no holes on the bonnet but I did like the old badge Thanks

ok, gotcha.....
if you want to really really specific, get your hands on the technical manual, maybe the measurements for the siting of the badge is in it.
