The Road (even better!)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Road-Cormac-McCarthy/dp/0330447548/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1204899522&sr=1-1

Just getting to the end of the last book in the Riftwar Trilogy by Raymond E.Feist (fun literary chewing gum)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Riftwar_Saga

Kinda in the middle of the Raven's at the moment too, apart from its blind biased approach (we were in there to help them man.. ), its mindblowing.. http://www.amazon.com/RAVENS-Robbins/dp/0671673165

Like yourself, Stephen, I'm not one for books either....just can't maintain the interest! Prefer little bits of texts and loadsa pictures - that might sound like Playboy/Penthouse etc. are high on the list, but in actual fact it's more car mags (that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Having said all that, I've just started reading "Woody Allen - An illustrated biography" (read "Without Feathers" last year). Also liked Jeremy Clarkson's books - small pieces of (generally very witty) text - no story line to follow, just short and to the point.

When all is said and done, I can't see why so much time would be spent reading when you can get a DVD and have the story told to you!!

Bit of a classics-fest for me at the mo. I've just finished Dracula - a great read. Now I'm reading Moby Dick, which is good.

Yeah, I really enjoyed 'The boy in the striped pyjamas' and the Robt Fisk book too - hard going but very rewarding.
