Would like a garage for our 10 year old house, near Lisdoonvarna
Have looked at prefabricated, but these look fairy ugly to me.
Am seeing the original house builder in a few weeks to look at a purpose built garage.
Never done this type of thing before so would appreciate any advice or recommendation. Anyone suggest a size?
I hope to be carrying out minor works only. No total restorations!
The garage would be used for this, winter hibernation (just the car, I hope!) and storage of excess crap we have acquired over the year

Did this last year, garage 8mx6m - two cars and plenty of storage space etc. I was keen on getting a block built garage but after costings opted for a Steeltech garage on the basis of cost which was about 50% less (€12-13k saving in my case) and not having to deal with a builder was a big bonus plus the garage was erected on site in less than a day.

Hadn't heard of ADMAN, I looked at the steeltech display in Kilcolgan first and got a few prices for 6x4m,(later realised the price didn't include gutting or down pipes) then went to kilbeggan to see the display at Shanette, thier framework and doors seem far better than Steeltech From the installers arrival to departure was ... 2 hours...including a tea break Gary your welcome to come and look if your in Galway anytime

Bought a Steeltech garage in March, 6x4 metres. Good service, quick build. Hope it stands up to the Donegal winds this winter.

If it has a roller door, fit a brush seal to the top of the door opening on the outside would be my advice.

There is restriction on size of shed permitted ,depending on amount of garden left etc.Be careful but usually a 1 /2 car shed should be fine, unless someone reports it to County Council Also if you have already extended your existing house it can affect size of shed allowed etc
