Fuel pressure regulator

Postby John M » Thu, 21 Jan 2010 9:03 +0000

Hi guys,
Anyone fitted a fuel pressure regulator?
Do these things work or is it just more drink, drink, go-go-juice?
If they do work any recommendationd on which one to use?
Safe driving.

You already have one attached to the fuel rail.
Why do you need more fuel pressure?
If you have a turbo or supercharger then you need a vortec or an adjustable type.

your car type, mods etc are always helpful when asking questions.

What are you looking to do John? Mine still has the stock regulator + fuel pump w/12psi, no lean conditions (the opposite at the moment).

Just saw one of these adjustable one's (Ebay).
Pressure can be increased etc ?

Standard car 1800cc 1996, I have a cold air intake kit fitted.
Just wondered if the adjustable regulator would increase power?

No it wont. You need more air ass well to make power. Leave it as is.
