Puma 1.4 v-tech Engine

Postby CashelMX5 » Tue, 21 Sep 2010 12:51 +0000

I know this may not be the right forum to ask this question but I have a young fella in dire straits trying to find an engine. Might anyone know where he could put his hands on a 1.4 v-tech engine for a Ford Puma. He's been told that it's the same engine as the Fiesta and Focus but has yet to confirm this. Any help in locating one would be appreciated.

The only thing I can offer is a diesel engine from a fiesta..doubt that would be any use to him. Have you tried some of the ford forums??

Here?

Thanks John,
No, don't think the diesel engine would work. I'll try that link.

Tom, here's another possibility

http://www.fordownersclub.com/

These guys seem to cover all ford models, register and throw in your question, see what comes back

the engine is a zetec (not vtec) and designed by yamaha.
according to wiki, that engine was only used in the puma and fiesta - not the focus.
1995-2002 Ford Fiesta Mk4 1.4
1997-2000 Ford Puma 1.4
