megasquirt questions

i have a drift mx5 i bought and have it reshelled into a road car megasquirt was mapped in the last car. put everything into the road one and it wouldnt run. was getting spark only when turning the key 1 spark. switched back to oem ecu and it ran so im wondering the the mega dump the last map . i hope not as i can afford a remap.
but if it comes to it whos the best to map them in southeast and how much we talking

i dont know much about them but as far as i know you can map them urself using tuner studio

It wouldn't dump the map. You'd have to manually do that on a computer.

You need to connect the megasquirt to your laptop so see whats going on. After that you need to calibrate your variable throttle position sensor if you have one installed. If you havn't and the megasquirt is set up for one you need to disconnect it. Its on the RHS of the throttle body looking at the engine and measures the % opening of the throttle. The stock one is on/off type so its crap for the megasquirt. Is the ECU setup for stock batch injection or sequential (seq needs mods to the injector loom, but they are easy)

I'm currently sending megasquirt back to be upgraded n changed for jap loom may need some help then
