1.6 vs 1.8 diff casing

Bit of a strange Q but are the early 90's 1.6 and 1.8 diff casings the same size? my 3'' exhaust runs close to the 1.6 diff and im worried ill have trouble with clearance after fitting the 1.8.

no, the 1.8 is a bit bigger.

its definitely longer but is it wider? cheers man ill take a look

as far as I remember the axles on the 1.8 are a little shorter so.. yeah wider

I think both are same width ,but I could measure a 1.8 for you.Definitely 1.8 is longer and a shorter diveshaft also. We have both types if you do need anything.Robert 086 8226506
