HKS Speed limit defencer

Anyone know anything about the HKS speed limit defencer as in pic below.Is it eliminating the rev governor ?? Any benefits from this

Removes the 180kph speedlimiter on jap cars doesnt do anything to the rev limiter do.

Hi Jmaes ,it was fitted on 99 1.8 Irish car ,just wondering what the story was there then

Jasus i wouldnt know why Any car i have seen them fitted to has been a jap car to get rid of the speedlimiter. Maybe somebody thought they were gonna get a bit more speed out of the mx5.
