I want to change the cam belt and see several makes for sale out there, just wondering if there is a recommended make.. The car is 1990 but only 72K miles and i cant find any record of it being changed.
Also is there anything else i should change at the same time ? water pump ?etc

I find the Blue Print stuff for these cars to be pretty okay. The water pump should be looked at if you are doing the timing belt. A genuine Mazda cam cover gasket is recommended. And as you have the cam over off, it might be worth checking to see if the CAS seal is leaking.

It's the cam angle sensor. It has a rubber seal that is prone to leaking. It is quite easy to do, especially when removing the cam cover.

Also, I think you mentioned your car is auto? If so, you may need a crank locking tool to hold it while you loosen/tighten the crank bolt.
This thread has a pic of one you can make near the end :
