Ah Ann, I guess I'm the only one to sympathise with you then. Ouch, I've had a support on all week for strained tendons in my ankle, and that was bad enough. You poor thing.

Pay not attention to the lads here, you wont get much sympathy from them lot.
Take care of yourself, it's only for a while and you'll be back in those shoes again.

My poor Mum is a shoe addict like us and she has had to give them up permanently she's in mourning. She still wont part with her amazing collection tho :)

as Medic says, leg up and you'll be fine!

Geez Shena, is it not bad enough that she can't stay upright in her shoes without mentioning a leg up . That term is usually used in the equine world and I'd be afraid for her neck if she were to take Medic's advice. :(

BTW Ann, I like your new avatar

Well, I recall being called to a strip club one time for a young lady who “lost her grip" and damaged her ankle.
I saw her outside the hospital waiting for a taxi on crutches and still in her work clothes so I asked how she got on.
Her reply was "grand, the doc told me to go home and keep my ankles raised"
It made me grin like a school boy.

Inside I was cracking up, but on the outside I was in uniform, so could just grin and wish her a speedy recovery :)

it'll be awkward driving the 5 with your ankle elevated, easy enough to get in but a hell of a job getting out......!

Hey guys, been away from this for a bit due to work, but it's pure coincidence I'm back on tonight and this thread is here! Ann, I hope the ankle heals soon! Always said heels were bad news! What happened?

(Now that I've got the concerned bit out of the way..... Ye are going to LOVE this one..)

Was at a family funeral today...myself, the missus, sons and daughter were there. During the burial my daughter(who was dressed in black coat, top, trousers and pair of heels)got so upset that she turned and walked away crying... :( she was walking and wiping her eyes at the same time. I turned around to go after her just in time to see her (medic, feel free to get her about this one!)catch her heel on the gravel and trip...........into an open grave behind us!! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry... always said heels were a killer! ;)

That must have been a very grave situation, I'll bet she buried her head with embarasment when she got out.
