![]() Re: Hood ReplacementI think Cloggy did a mohair replacement on his car a year or two ago, did it himself IIRC..give him a shout, I'd say two blokes should easily do it in the course of an afternoon. If you search youtube there's a video or two on how to do it also.

had a quick look around but could not find any on youtube - can you post a link?
![]() Re: Hood ReplacementI have fitted my fourth one during the summer.Your first one is the toughest but once you take your time, have space and most importantely follow the instructions and be patient it is a enjoyable job to do on a 5.
It takes a full day too do it right, you have to take out the seats it makes the job easier. The only reason I have done the job for local 5 owners is because they begged and pleaded with me so much as they were quoted outrageous prices by pathetic mazda dealers. As i say you will be well capable of fitting a hood yourself, save yourself money and hassle.
Re: Hood ReplacementSounds promising, and I'm not one to shy away from trying it myself.
So the next question is... Where should i buy a mohair hood for a reasonable price? There's so many after market providers that I would be a little worried about their quality and fitment. Can anyone recommend a supplier that they have personal experience with?

![]() Re: Hood Replacementsort what out??? get a good quality hood and organise a tech day and save yourself the hassle. Its not rocket science to fit a hood lad. Getting one soon so a tech day is our best bet. He says he wont do it for ya so let him be.........he'll be glad of the sheckles some day.
