I've been trying loads of waxes & shampoos, etc. and not happy with any of them or maybe been using the wrong ones (even tried almost the whole range of AUTO GLYM)
Just looking for something straight forward.
What do you recommend (liquids & machines) and doesn't take hours to apply.

I just use Autoglym Super Resin Polish.
What are you not happy with?

To get a good finish you need to spend a bit of time on it imo. I do this twice a year, wash the car, Clay bar (merquires) the entire thing, polish (using mequires step 2 polish) then a wax with poorboys wax. The clay bar cleans the surface and leaves it ready for polishing. The polish nourishes the paint work and gives it a shine, then the wax leaves a deep shine and protects the finish of the paint and polish you just applied.
Then during the year you can just wash it and a quick polish which will mantain a great shine.

I'm an Autoglym fan also & find it quite good (not that I'm an avid polisher or anything like it)

Yeah i think the Autoglym is rubbish, stopped using it years ago.

I got wax and a rubbing compund form these guys http://www.carbrite.ie/products.htm
The wax is very quick on and off. I also got a tar and glue remover from them
I got the 240v polisher for halfords

Makes the whole job much quicker.

I'm just not into the claybar rubbing for hours, I'd rather be driving!

I'm using teh Autoglym stuff at the moment and it's fine but it doesn't last very long. But it is easy to apply

Chemical guy brand is meant to be very good. The diamond glaze is very good but hard to find in any shops here.

Rain Dance is a very good wax you can get in most irish motor factors here. It's a proper wax not like autoglym and takes a bit of elbow to apply. But it does last.

great stuff, I also have the black label stuff (resin somewhat..) from autoglym and the halfords 240v polisher. reason for the post is because it doesn't last as long as I want. In order to keep it shiney & waxy it have to do everything every month or 2 months and I got to the stage the love has gone off the cleaning part.
Thanks for all your feedback and please keep it coming as I'm still not sure what the best solution is to stop that tedious labour intensive job. the finsihed product is great, but it's too tedious to get there.
