Hi all,
Hood got slashed the other day (I'm livid!). Does anyone know where I can get a decent price on a mohair one fitted? It's a Japanese import (only mentioning that because the Mazda garages treat that as if it's impossible to work with)
A couple of suggestions on this would make a bad week much easier!
Cheers,
Ciarán

Ciaran, I believe the best value is to be got from Jack Smith in Swansea, Wales. around £250 fitted, but you'll have to factor in the ferry cost

Thanks lads, I'm going with RS, delighted to be able to get something recommended. Any guesses as to what I got quoted by the Mazda garage in Sandyford for that and an aerial fixed?
Also apparently criminal damage hits your no claims bonus? Who knew!?

id say they have quoted you close to 1600 euros to supply and fit both
most mazda dealers charge £89 / hour labour , even if the job in the book says 1 hour and they finish it in 20 mins , they still charge you the full hour. Scandalous prices.

€2,050
They even went to order the whole aerial unit as well as the antenna- making a €50 job €500.

Shouldn't that be "Anyone like to shove this thread up the .... of the people working in Mazda Ireland before they go out of business" It reminds me of the Titanic, they couldn't even see it coming when it was right in front of their face

chargedrs is no longer doing hoods, and i really don't want to have to get a ferry over to wales to get it done. is there anyone else in ireland that can do it for a reasonable price?
