Exterior clean up

I currently have black duct tape over my rear red reflectors(NCT), where will I find replacements?

The plastic housing around the back lights has faded to grey/white. 'Back to Black' for the tyres will fade in about a month, I might try tyre paint if there isn't anything more suitable.

brush on some power steering fluid , let it sit for a few hours and repeat it will bring the black back again ;)

do this regularly on plastics that fade in UV sun light

don't bother replacing them I reckon, just duct tape them for the test.

How does that power steering fluid trick work, does it etch it?

Used engine oil works too. The same thing. It doesn't etch it. Capillary action soaks oil and suspended wear particles into the plastic. It lasts about a month and no more though. You just need to keep doing it. It'll always have that kinda wet look though. It certainly does work though.

is it the matt trim plastic you're talking about?
