Woohoo, first post, etc.

Hello all,

I'm currently working on my first MX5 and getting it on the road before the summers over hopefully.
When I jacked it up for the first time this friendly little fella was hanging down all by it's lonesome. I figure some folks around here might be able to shed some light on what it could be. I could not see anything else around there with an inspection mirror and when I hooked up a multiplier to it and played around the light switches it would only read 8 volts.

It does require an external rear fog light to be re-installed (it was not on the car but was supplied) but the connectors do not match up and the switch did not change the voltage.

In-case it matters, it's a 1990 V-Special Eunos Roadster 1.6

Cheers.

am not 100% sure from the angle but it looks like its the cat sensor that Eunos models had. When the cat went the sensor would trigger a light to come on in the gauge panel "heat" (bottom left of the 4 in the middle).
I've no cat so have cable tied it up out of the way.

Welcome to the forum.
