Immobiliser and key

Postby anniniwa » Tue, 30 Jun 2009 2:40 +0000

Hi, I have an immobiliser in my car and was wondering if it's easy enough to get an extra one ordered as a spare?

Also, i thought my '99 would have central locking, does this not come as standard on a '99 Eunos?

Thanks
Ann

Hi Ann,

It could depend on the make of the alarm. When I bought my car I found an alarm installed but it didn't come with a remote. I managed to track down a company (ICE security Systems, Ranalagh, Dublin) who told me that (a) they can computer check my system and up-date it for €75 and (b) supply a remote for €80. Try them at 01 4791273, it's worth a shot!

Tom.

Hey Tom,

Can't seem to get through to that number...constant engaged tone, hope they are not gone out of business.

Hi Ann,

I got through to the number a couple of weeks ago and spoke to a very helpful chap who certainly knew the business. When answered, he asked to hold while he moved into the office. So, I'm asuming that they have an extension bell to the workshop. They are a long established company in the same location in Ranalagh and I doubt that they have shut up shop as they are the main agents for Gemini Alarms. Look up their website at www.icesecurity.com

I've re-checked and the number I gave you is correct so I'd suggest you try again on Monday.
