Roll bars

Hi again, I would like to get roll bars...can anyone suggest where, how much and are they difficult to put on bearing in mind I havne't a clue!

Fitting a style bar is a 10 minute job, fitting a roll bar is a whole other story.
Let us know what kind of style you are thinking of and we can direct you where to spend your monies.

Style bars look good but to save your bacon, get a roll bar.

Hey Cloggy, you are right I'm only looking for style bars pretty much exactly like yours, I also need to get a wind blocker before my hair causes a crash! Any ideas where I could get one, rough guide to price? Is a style bar simply for asthetics or does it actually have a purpose if there was an accident? Thank u your reply, I'm going to have a million silly questions I'm sure.

Hi Ash, thanks ...ya it is definately a style bar I'm looking for and need a windblocker as well, could I fit the bar myself bearing in mind I'm a (young!!!!) 40 yr old woman!

Hi - welcome aboard. Fitting style bars is an easy job - typically only 4 bolts & no they're not going to help out in the event of a roll-over (style over substance). In saying that tho, very few owners have fitted roll-bars

Yeah i reckon you could fit them yourself but if not midlife i'm sure will lend a hand. I now have a roll bar ( all be it one of the easier ones to fit) but should provide some sort of protection if the worst happens which is nice to know.

Hi there again .. another girlie yahoo!!

I recently added a windblocker to my 5 having lived without it for the first year and spent a fortune on conditioner after a run

This year my tan is definitely better as I'm running with the top down ALL the time The blocker is a totally necessity for anyone with longer than ear length hair and to stop the gail force wind flipping around the cab and hitting the back of your neck.

Unless you particularly like them I wouldn't go with style bars and get a proper roll bar fitted. Not as pretty but it might save your neck some day. Having said this I'm still waiting.

We have tech days in the club where the guys all help out with bits and bobs and as Ash said I'm sure Midlife will help out.

Hi there, great to hear from another female!! Thanks for the info, are you getting a roll bar? I suppose I am only thinking of the aesthetics of the style bar and boy do I need to get a windblocker..I can hardly see half the time with me hair in my face which is ya lovely but not very attractive when you get out an look like someone dragged through a bush!

The very first thing I need to get is the bar and windblocker I think and if there is a tech day then wow I would be so grateful for any help possible or recommendations etc.

I had jsut been looking at the next maybe too, would be nice to see / meet other owners however think would book in somewhere if all works out, are you going ...wouldn't go being only woman, no offence lads just might need to borrow hair straightener or something.
