Hi Guys I recently got two new cables for my electric window. I have put it all together and was fitting it back into the car when I hit all the problems. There seems to be loads of slack on the cables. I have read the post in the how do I thread and have followed it. It says to coil the cable around 2.5 turns. I have tried this but I just cant get it right. Is there anybody out there that would be hand at this and could maybe show me how to do this. I am based in Lucan.

Has anyone ever changed the entire window mechanism to a better one than these cables?

There shouldn't be that much play on the cables so I think you may have missed something.

I'd say myself to just stick with what you have and you'll sort it out sooner or later. Did you replace the 'drum' inside the motor when you were doing the cable ?

Ok so finally got the windows done a guy called the window doctor sourced them and fitted them at a excellent price. He has a ad running on donedeal and is well worth a look if you have any window problems. And let's face it you probably will!
