Electric windows

Hi folks,
the windows on my mark 2 have become very slow to go down, how can I fix this problem,thanks, Brendan.

They probably just need a clean and new lube to be put into the window runners.

Mine were the same, i removed the door cards and cleaned all the old grease from the runners and applied fresh stuff. Working perfect now.

Hi, took of the door cards at the weekend, sprayed lithium grease on the runners and now the windows go up and down perfectly!

My passenger window is still messed up from cable snapping. Thought i'd just need a new cable but looks like have to get the whole mechanism for mk2.5. If anybody knows where i can get one, would really appreciate any help. They are pretty pricey from mx5parts so a 2nd hand one would do the job!.
