I have a uk spec mk1 no power steering no electrics etc but i have just picked up a eunos for breaking wondering is it possible to transfer those bits into the mk1 or is it worth the bother of it.

Will i run into trouble with looms etc being different for the interior or are they the same but the one in my mk1 being blanked(hondas are 99% done this way) but wasnt sure what way mazda did them

Hello i'm the Brian mentioned by Alan, mine is a 96 merlot uk car all wiring seems to be there for air con. I'm planning to do the project over the winter. What age is yours? May not have been done on earlier cars .Your welcome to have a look at mine any time. Power steering should be no problem, am I correct in saying there is no wiring?
Where you based, i'm in Co Clare .
Good luck with the project,
Brian

I've had my own in and out a few times but never retrofitted one. Just check if the pump you have will line up correctly with the crank pulley. Wrong pump was in my car. It will work but you'll have a squeaky belt. Think there's only one wire that goes on top of the pump.

Sorry should have read the first post properly. Wiring depends on the year and engine size. I've seen 2 1.6 looms and 2 1.8's from different years and they all have some changes Mainly in the dash board loom. Hope this helps a bit.

No need to take them out. Just have a look inside the rubber hose type thing next to the door hinge to see how many wires are in there . If you have 2 speaker only, 4 spk + window, 7 + electric mirrors. All the dash wires are fitted to the dash itself so take out the stereo or the middle section with gear stick and see if you have any wires for the windows. I'd check the door first. If there's no wires chances are there's none in the middle section. It's not too hard take the wiring you need from the donor car and install them with the dash in.
