Hi Folks,

Well thanks ummm for posting up the stuff from Moss!! Now its got me thinking! What i need for winter since i have leather seats is seat heaters!!

Would it be very very hard to take off the leather in the seats to be able to put the pads on in the correct locations??
Anybody any ideas, or is it a good idea, its 125 bucks per seat!!!

What about the much cheaper, and almost as effective, alternative of a couple of rubberised hot water bottles from Pennys - I think they are about 5 squidlies a pop.

Of course, you could really splash out and get the "character" ones in Dunnes (€7 aeach), which have soft furry covers in the shape of different creatures....

It can be done... fiddly as bejeasaz with all the rings + gubbins..
Is this a heater that heats the seat base and seat back?

Yes it is, the installation looks fairly ok only that i worried ill wreck my seats.

ooo a hot water bottle, hmm well its in keeping with me but is that cool enough for my 5? hmmmm maybe a tigger hot water bottle with diamonds and and laser beams that shoot out from the hot water bottle

I would say that it would be fairly easy dude, Don't think you will have to completely remove the covers either, just get them off enough to slid in the wires and pads.
If i was closer i would be more than happy to give you a hand.

Hi Tigg,

did you get those seat heaters already.

Seat Heaters??? Come on guys, one of these mornings you will walk out of your house and there will just be a pile of ashes where your mx5 used to be......Just put on an extra pair of trousers or something. :wink:

Hmmmmm, heated seats would be nice in a mx5.
I've had a few cars with em and they are nice fir the cold days (or even days like this)

I made some enquiries via ebay regarding those leather seat covers. Thought I leave this reply I got today for others to see:

Hi Robin, we make the covers for leigh at jimparts. We can make the above you mentioned but just need to get the colours right. Do you have an address i could send you some samples.
the cost for full leather with "Cloggy" embroided in the head rest would be £280
