Replacement gear gator

Postby shanebrk » Thu, 19 Nov 2015 9:50 +0000

Has anyone used one of these? What's the quality like? My original one is torn up and there is hot air blasting into the cabin when the exhaust warms up.

I bought about 6 of these a few years back but they are not great. The aluminium bit is grand but the !rubber2 bit is actually very thin silicone and does not keep noise/heat out really and tears after a while. The genuine ones are far better but about 60 euro here in Mazda but may be cheaper in uk?

I have it on my car. Wouldn't really complain about noise or heat problems as long as you have the felt insulation I think it's ok. The only disappointment was the fitment. Wouldn't bother with it to be honest, stick with oem one.
