no idea what he means either, have you poked the drains behind the seatbelt towers? Right in the corner under where the softtop lies. See photo above ^

Teena, another cause of water in the footwell can be a cracked or damaged rain rail , water will make it's way onto the rear parcel shelf, roll down along the firewall behind the seats and gather on the floor . if you get a chance, move your seat to the full forward position and try to get your hand in under the carpet on the parcel shelf and firewall...if the soundproofing material under the carpet is wet then this may well be the source of your problem.
