Gearbox Fluid

Really basic question here:

I want to replace my gearbox oil - the manual shows topping up from the level hole in the side of the gearbox - easy, I can understand that one, however, later on, it shows topping up with the shift lever removed, from inside the car - is this the same thing, or are there 2 different areas to top up with oil in there?

As you can see, not too much of a clue about gearboxes.

Yep thats correct I did mine before xmas, and I got confused aswell. It's a different pot for lubricating the shift linkage (I think!!!!).
If your doing it you might want to replace your shift boots. see the link below. Some sites advise you get a turkey baster and suck out any waste oil from it and then top it with luvly new stuff.....
