Torsen diff spotting

I am about to head off to pick up a 'torsen' diff for my 5.

On the phone the guy said that you can see a bar about 3/4 of an inch wide when you look through the hole
when the shafts are removed.

Does this mean its definitely NOT a torsen?

Its coming out of a 1.8 1997 car.

Is that coming from Irish or import mx5?

The only one Irish/uk ones that had LSD were 10 anniversery editions. Almost all japs have LSD as standart.
