Engine change

Postby back_in_black » Mon, 25 Jul 2011 10:27 +0000

Hi all.

I'm taking Kieran up on his offer of a new shell for my car.
My engine is a 1.6 and the new shell had a 1.8. Will I have to change the 1.8 engine bay wiring for my 1.6?

Thanks Alan

i would say very little difference, just MAF sensor and maybe coilpack but others will know more im sure. Handier to throw in a 1.8.
The perfection of a Car's beauty is that nothing should be there for beauty's sake.

Engine change

Hi sideways

The 1.6 I've has just over 160k km on it and is running well except the rocker cover gasket is leaking and general service needed. I'm fairly keen on trying to keep it and don't really have the budget for a new engine.
