How much work is involved in replacing master cylinder ,rods book says it a bitch ,think it's disconecting rod from peddle to cyd on bulk head is the hard bit ,any views?
Considering doing master cylinder, slave and cluch line at some stage myself.
Thanks

Its very easy to replace, 15 mins tops, less if you have someone to help you.
Remove slave and let fluid drain from the clutch line, remove hard line from the side of the master, you'll need 10mm flare wrench like this :

Then one bolt on engine side of the firewall and one up behind the clutch pedal on the other side. I left the rod in place.
Throw on the new slave + line, fill the new master with fluid and move the plunger in and out until fluid comes out of the hole, cover the hole with your finger and hook it up to the hard line (much easier to do before you bolt it back to the firewall). The fiddly bit is getting the rod back into the plunger hole, if on your own it might take a couple of trips back and forth under the dash till you line it up. Bolt up and bleed.

If you go for a braided clutch line, its much easier to bleed as you'll be removing the curly line down near the slave which tends to hide air bubbles.

Can probably hook you up with contact details for the guy I ordered them from. They were made to order so not sure if he has any left over, worth asking though.
