Rear PPF Bolt

Postby gunners5 » Wed, 11 Jun 2008 8:48 +0000

Hi all i have spent the last few days replacing shocks springs and bushes on my Dads roadster. The shocks were shot bushes tired and to top it off he had a snapped spring all of which we thought was causing his loose and crashy ride until i noticed that the long bolt which passes through the diff was loose and protruding from the ppf.the entire bolt is just spinning around including the dome or washer on top of the diff casing.can anyone suggest the best method to retightening this bolt please.

Is it the bolt that goes through a sleeve? Silly q but have you tried pushing it into the hole whilst tightening to see if it will catch the threads. if its the bolt i think you are talking about then its not threaded all the way down the lenght of it. I'm struggling to explain what i mean here i think!!!

Yup, I think that bolt should screw up into the collar...
Actually, will the bolt come out?
