cool link! I'm def going to try it.. tomorrow hopefully.

I changed my gear box oil recently.. it had 5 year old Redline MTL in it.. I put in Castrol super slippy somethin (can't remember the name).
A few weeks on, the noise on lift-off/half-trottle-coast when warm is much louder + its MUCH harder to change gears when cold. Think I'll see if I can organise a group buy on Redline ;-)

I've been using fuchs silkolene full synth in the box and diff, great quality oil though not cheap about 20 euro per litre from murray motor sport in dublin.

If anyone out there is getting their clutch done i would suggest suppling a good gearbox oil to the garage, if you don't they will probably fill it with cheap stuff to save money.

Just put some silkolene in the diff recently, Premier Motorsport in Galway stock it.
So.. its good in the gearbox?

I did the loosen bolts/jack up gearbox and retighten thing, I could see by the marks on the PPF that this is where it used to sit. It feels much better and much less noise when coasting. The lever is about 2 inches higher though.. which will take a while to get used to.
Great 2 min fix!

yeah and a relief when you find its not a dying diff.

I used silkolene in the box too, think it has the same viscosity i'll check tomorrow, still have the containers in the garage.
