annoying hunting problem

Postby rhysmate » Sat, 21 Jan 2012 1:46 +0000

Can anyone tell me why my engine is hunting. it happens when the car is idling until i put on a few electrical things like headlights and aircon and so on. the engine hunts and all my lights and heater and other ancillaries seem to pulsate with it.. ill upload videos of it happening.

it also happens constantly while im driving and the car bunny hops if i hold the revs when im driving along. i can see the headlights humming and i keep blowing bulbs.

can anyone help and if you cant help over the forum ill pay you to help in person

Regards,

Rhys

Check for vacuum leaks around the throttle body........split hoses, wires off etc. Maybe the IAC valve. What year/model do you have.
