New one is in place just need to bolt everything back up nice and tight and put the exhaust and drive shaft back on.
Not that bad of a job, if i had to do it again i wouldn't have any trouble with it. Worse part is hard to shift nuts/bolts and access to them.
Have to go to work at 10 this evening and no chance to do it today because of the weather but if things go to plan i will be back zoom zooming by the weekend.

Its the input pinion that is f****d and has done some damage to the ring gear

What were the symptoms before you replaced it - was it noisy oly when powering/engine braking or was it noisy all the time?

Strangely there wasn't to much notice given that it was about to go. Driving home and got a horrible banging noise. sounded like the exhaust had fallen off and was dragging behind the car. Pulled over could see nothing, tried to drive on, lack of power horrible sound, ring the breakdown crowd. Doh.
I'll find a video of it in a min
