Hmm, that's fuckin' mad Ted, they're not exactly making it easy for him..so they'll cough up if the car is converted or if he buys a new one, but feck off if you buy a second-hand car..what a load of boll*x..

New car only and it must be from Main Dealers with vat invoice etc. Conversion to existing is his own cost.!!He does,nt have the price of a new car ....same as the rest of us !!!

They wont allow him to trade in unless he buys new ( which is costly) and bear in mind he has petrol allowance ,cheap tax etc.Secondhand cars unless you already own it are not eligible for allowances

Ni problem to swop over ,excluding a lot of work/time,as long as I have the two cars side by side...but it does include full loom swop ,ecu, ignition switch, gearbox, driveshaft, console, gearlever ,pedals ,throttle cable and gear change cables on accelerator body etc

i bought a vitara recently it had been converted to semi auto.i dont know how it works exactly but push a few buttons the clucth is engaged permanently there is a button on the gear stick you push to change gear and a sensor on the accelerator i took the fuses out to disable it in case herself turned it on in error it looks like it was a fairly easy conversion every thing else is standard you are welcome to have a look

Robert, why dosent he just buy a s/h auto mx5?? there cheap.
even better, find a auto car and just swap it for his manual car?? man worth more as you know.
but if you want the hardship, and the loot
,do the conversion.
