removing diff from ppf

Hello all
I'm in the process of refurbing the rear subframe on my 99 nb and trying to remove it from the car .All going ok until I try to remove the diff[ torsion lsd I think] from the rear of the ppf .
The bolts and the collar on the bottom came out ok and everything is loose but it won't move out from the top .
There are two "spacers" on the top and bottom ,I've loosened the bottom one but there seems to be a sleeve on one of the bolt holes holding it in and there is no movement on the top one ,rods book says it should move sideways out of the way but this is not happening for me.
Any ideas or am I going about this the wrong way.[I knew it was all going too smoothly ! ]
Thanks in advance
Brian

Take it off from thw gearbox and then you will be able to remove the ppf while the diff is away from the car. Works for me

Hi Briam .did you tap up the locking nuts .Baasically leave the ppf frame bolts in and at up the splined nuts while the bots are still threaded, they pop out at the top as the nuts are on splines
