thanks ash, I'm in Avoca in Wicklow (near Arklow).
I don't mind buying one as I want to experiment with my base timing and timing maps on my ACU (bipes).

I'm going to set 18 base timing and the ACU will pull the timing from 3000 -4000 rpm back to 8 degrees, then it will scale up the timing again between 5500-redline. Keeps it safe in the most knock prone rpm band.

Works great on an NA cars, cheap too.

I see a turbo in your future, you seem to be well on your way to the dark side. Blew away a new golf turbo the other evening, when we pulled up at the next set of lights he wasn't a happy bunny (German car owners eh no sense of humour) He'll think twice before bumper hugging a 5 again.

Fair enough Ger, At that price your as well off. Hmm thinking more sc tbh. Auto manifold is not the same as manual so getting a turbo mani could be tricky.
Must do something with my timing, Currently set at 10 with the link but need to sort that out.

Ash, its set at 10 when you install the link so that its reference point is the same as the actual timing. Have a look at your ignition map, the link advances the timing + fuel while reading the O2 sensors voltage.
If its set to 10, you don't need to change it again, the link will do it for you.

Yup, plus it'll add or remove fuel.

When tuning you can download the current map, make changes and reupload. Then go out and do another run, see if you have any knock, if not, you can remove fuel + add timing until you do, then reduce timing a little to avoid it in future.

Sounds great apart from me not having a knock sensor.
