 Hey all,
Have been very busy and quiet for the last few months down in the real sunny south east. New job/house/life etc really keeping me going. Even had to put my little pride and joy in dads garage for the wet few months but....took it out last week, roof down on Saturday, dog in the passenger seat and went to curracloe beach! Oh god it was worth every single penny/cent!!!
 Sheer bliss....
on a week off now and popping out at every opportunity! Only have the dog a few months and loves the car!!! He will not get into the primera (for some bizarre reason..... ) but hops straight into the five!
Hope all ok out there in the real world!

Good to have you back on track and with the good?? weather on its way we should be getting the odd run organised. Hope you manage to make it to one this year!!
What say we do one to the sunny south east (Wexford Side ) this year??... the closest we got was Ash's run last year...AND IT RAINED...GOD HOW IT RAINED John

 hey John,
Had an 'Ash' moment on Sunday....was coming over wex bridge, sun blazing, roof down, traffic stopped on crest of bridge and was thinking of a great photo with a line up of fives on the bridge with the town in the background! Seriously interested in helping/hosting/having a wex-five-drive (copyright on that name!!) as there is a great mix of back roads, main roads and viewpoints.

If only I could repeat the weekend weather.....was supposed to go on the Dungarven one but some of my local roads were flooded so I was stuck!!!

Let me know ifs and buts involved!

 Regards,
 Val

 Hi Ladles and jellyspoons,
Well wouldn't you know....hinted at a Wex/five/drive and the Mx5's are circling!!!! Went out to the beach again today (did I mention I have a week off? Yes? No? Oh well, I have a week off!!!!)...and anyway....deliberately went a few different ways and was sampling road surfaces and road bendiness etc etc. On a dry, mild day it is great!!!
The best of all was a BMW x5 (on my wish list...with a z3 too Tigger) pulled in beside me in the car park. Laaaaa-deee-dah wife decended out of the passenger seat, sniffed at me and walked on.....husband came around and asked for a look at my little beauty!!! Did offer him a swap - with a little cash in the transaction - but he wouldn't pay up!!!!
Presuming someone will email or post the 101 rules about organising a drive? Speed limits, road surfaces, pit stops etc etc.
 Take care out there!
 Val

No rules for runs val but heres a little advice,
Set the date, post it up and stick to it (you will never please everyone and if you try you will just go mad and give up!!!)
Post up the time and meeting place.
Try to get some kind of route planned that has...
Some place(s) to park up plenty of cars (you should know roughly how many before hand),
 Has good driving roads,
 Take some photographs,
 Get something to eat,
and in my opinion try to avoid to many minor on to major road junctions (its hard to get 10+ cars out on to a main road so end up waiting a lot)
That's it really, good idea at each stop point to let everyone know where the next stop meet point is so if anyone gets lost we can just regroup there.

Anything else just ask (put me down for the run anyways.

 Hey Val
I got a harness for my Madra that just clips on to the seatbelt in case of passing kids playing ball or an attractive male dog It sorts out your worries and believe me they love top down motoring. Not so keen on aggressive cornering mind you. I've nearly lost her more than once I'll see if I can locate some on ebay

 Hi ffferg,
Do you know I saw those harnesses in Argos catalogue too!!! Slightly weird neighbour told me of them too. My mutt is all male so hopefully no big boys will bother him but he could be the stud of the south-east!!!! I have noticed one thing though, he keeps on trying to sit on my lap (he did when he was smaller but too big now) and as he does so he puts down the electric windows as he keeps on standing on the switches in the middle!!!! However I have found that a few sharp bends sorts this out!!!!!! NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO don't ring the RSPCA!!!
Saw Ollie mentioned the weather this weekend? Brill...we are going out again!!
