My V Special

Postby lenny_mc » Wed, 13 May 2009 3:33 +0000

I got my eunos from a guy in newry at around the end of march, it stayed off the road until I vrt'd it towards the middle of april. Its a 1991 V Special, all original except for a stainless back box, some chrome washers, rear foglight and style bars.

Since I got it I have added the wind deflector, a decent head unit, changed the clutch, changed all disks and pads, plugs, air filter, oil filter oil etc. Im enjoying tinkering with it, and driving it.

Plan is to do an 8000 km trip round europe later in the year, taking in as many twisty roads as possible, including the stelvio pass, col du torini, and of course the nurburgring.

I really like this little car. it is fun to drive and am looking forward to my little spin!

Anyway, just a couple of random pics:

Hey Lenny,
Congrats on the purchase, its looks in v good condition etc enjoy it now :alien:

I suppose there wasn't any service history with the car ?? Just to know perhaps when the belts/water pump changed last....?? Last thing you want to go especially if you are travelling around Europe for a bit.

That trip to Stelvios......I could be sorely tempted one day.
Do keep us advised on how it goes.....

Welcome again and safe motoring.

Regards John.

Very nice and clean!! Way to go! The same color my car use to be. Interior seams to be in excellent condition. How much do they charge to drive the nurburgring?? I know it cost car manufacturers $4000 (2,944.43 EUR) an hour to use it.

Thats not to bad. Yearly pass is €1,075. Just did some checking. Not horrible if you live close by and go weekly. :D I would rent a car to drive that we don't have in the states. Of course also in mx-5.....

cheers guys!

there was some history with the car, and receipts for timing belt, water pump, and ancillary belts. It was looked after by the previous owner!

Ill be sure to keep you updated on the europe trip!
