New mx5

Postby rowanh » Wed, 27 May 2009 2:15 +0000

Hi all, i bought a 97 1.8 Japanese mx5 today, i thought id sign up here, im sure ill have a few questions.. They seem like good cars, i havent really made up my mind about it yet, i just sold a skyline, i was going to go for something big and comfortable but then i kind of impulsively decided to get something fun, it will be a lot cheaper to run anyway..

I dont like the steering wheel and i dont love the wheels, the steering wheel is certainly cheap to replace.. I had a suede one in the skyline i really liked that.

Hi thanks, yea its the one from Limerick. Im in Carrickmines, south Dublin. Thanks for the links, i did come across them briefly looking about at things before getting it. I just noticed today the holes in the wheel to attach it to the boss are different to most wheels where its like its rotated around 90 degrees which is kind of a pain, unless it can be rotated on the boss maybe?? Any idea what the wooden wheel, gear knob and handbrake handle would be worth s/h?
