Question on tyres

Lads/Lassies,

Looking to swap a set of tyres from a set of alloys onto a set I bought from Colm last year. Just need to know if they are both the same dimensions.

The good tyres I'm removing are detailed as 205/45R16.

These will replace (I hope) a set detailed as 205/45ZR16.

Question is, does the "Z" make any difference??

No difference. Z is the speed rating 190mph, optimistic for an Mx5

Do a quick check with a measuring tape and make sure the rims the same width

same here ... A push from an airplane
