help with steering wheel boss please

i got it a japfest today and went to fit it and its total wrong all together it fits on the splines ok but the turn signal cancellers are in the way :?

i took off the clock spring

i DONT want to have to fork out big bucks for one of these

How close is the fit? Have you a photo of your clockspring?
I think the later Miata clockspring is thinner, have one in the shed I think, will check later, I'll pop you a PM if I do.

has anyone fitted an after market wheel to a mk2 ?? how did you do it

Do these replacement steering wheels on the mk2's also come with airbags? I'd be reluctant to mess around with the safety features of the car and if you do replace the wheel with the non-airbag type you're gonna be left with a warning light showing on the dash..straight fail on the nct if I'm not mistaken??

a 3ohm resistor will fix the light on the dash

Across the light or the airbag terminals?
