Most seals on a MX5 is made of rubber. Contact with metal usually seals the hole. In some cases, the rubber dries out and a small gap is left. Either use silicone to make the rubber flexible and seal the hole, or replace the rubber gasket or cover over the hole. If there is a small puddle, follow the wet path to where it drips in.
