So I'm starting to get some non structural rust forming on some parts of the body, nothing huge really, about thumbprint sized. have found it on the door sill beside the chrome footplate, on the rear qaurterpanel, which robert(autocheck) said is caused by my battery bashing the panel and on the top of the passenger door under the door seal, the rubber of which has pershed after the winter and needs replacing anyway.
So what should I do. Get it professionally removed and resprayed? Sand it down myself and respray (have done some spraying before, but never had to colour match and blend) or remove loose stuff, use some treatment on it and touch up and polish?
My car is a black 92, not sure whether it's got a clearcoat or not.
