You need to put a figure on it really. Money no object means you can spend millions on cars

I suppose so. Depends on what you use your mx5 for. Mine started as a cheap weekend toy. Then the word cheap disappeared.

I'd love a porsche 944 or a renault alpine a610, but I'd have to give up drink to afford running costs!

So the question is, how much more is your mx5 worth to you than what it cost? I think I'd have to spend 2-3 times the cost of my car to equal the fun and value!
