Freeze plug replacing.. (NMC)

Anyone ever done it? A welch plug on the Jeep went west DURING its NCT (which went fine, just need headlights aligned), picking up new ones tomorrow.
I gather its a case of punching out the old + hammering in the new?

had the same problem on a renault many years ago.
I got some of that metal glue and glued them all up.
If one is gone the rest will go.

I'd agree normally, but this one is particularly exposed (front of the head on #1 cylinder), will know more when I get it out anywhoo, I had a look at the internals when I had the heads off, not too brown looking, expected much worse. They looked new-ish :
