Mk1 rear caliper ajuster mechanism

Just wondering has anyone came across the mechanism in the back of the piston loose/sitting higher than the opposite caliper ??can they be taken out of the caliper ? Also has anyone ever purchased rear piston of mx5parts.co.uk ? Do they come with the mechanism ?

We have used or re manufactured calipers (with new piston etc) 086 8226506

Yeah, the adjuster will come out. Not noticed it sitting higher, unless it isn't seated in the hole/splines properly? Can you get an allen key on it and give it a wiggle to see if it'll seat down further? It looks like this when it comes out, they can be stripped easily enough if tightening is forced :
