Car looks brilliant, the mohair must need a lot of looking after. Shame to have to put it away after all the effort

Yeah, the mohair does appear to be more in need of regular cleaning. Vinyl roofs just need a wipe really ! Then again, my previous vinyl roof shrunk and cracked in places which mohair does not do. There are pros and cons for both I guess. My roof is from a 2005 Mk2.5.

Have been off-line for a while (sometimes life gets in the way), and catching up with threads...... your car looks fantastic - that's a great shine, and a nice feeling to have the belt done.

All you need now is some sunshine, tax, and insurance!

Yep, I could definitely do with those three things !
I had forgotten about the timing belt up to recently and then did it straight away. And regarding the tyres, the fronts were some crap unknown brand. I was going to try Kumho HS51's in 195/50/15 but nowhere stocked them locally. So I opted for the tried & tested Uniroyal Rain Sport 3's instead.
I am not finished with the body work yet ! I bought a dual action polisher recently so I'm going to give the paintwork a whizz with that and see how it looks.
The lacquer coating on the Nardi steering wheel is getting quite flaky these days so that needs to be addressed soon. No rest for the wicked, eh ?

I would recommend using menzerna products with your da polisher, I found them very good, very little dust

I fear that I have lost my mind !
I removed a very good Pioneer MP3/USB headunit today and replaced it with this - a 90's vintage Sony CDX-4160RDS. This retro thing is getting out of hand.....
