And the link ecu is installed and car is running. Not done much tuning on it yet and Dave is going to make me a nice cross over pipe.
Been out for a quick play this evening and I will say so far the car is running pretty sweet. Seems to pull better, throttle response is faster and it seems over all to be faster. Also sounds pretty sweet.

Install so far

Hi Ash. Looking good 8)
I assume you'll be able to hide the ribbon coming from the controller?

The lip spoiler..How is it attached?

Oh Yes..how much are Benson & Hedges paying you to advertise their product on our forum?

Yeah the ribbon will be hiden under the centre consol eventually.
Spoiler is stuck on with 3m double sided tape. seems to be pretty firm. Time will tell if it flys off at high speeds but i doubt it.
B&H i wish the would sponser me. Good knows i spend enough with them. :o

Lookin good Ash! Where you thinkin of locating the air filter eventually? Must look for a pic of the setup I had pre-turbo, t'would be great to put a scoop just straight out from the intake manifold to get the "over the radiator" air..

Steve

P.S. That a fuel door matching engine oil cap ??
P.P.S. Do a datalog and send it on so we can see where you are pretuning..

Cheers steve, Never noticed that the oil cap matched, it came with the car but now you say it....
Not sure re intake, pics of yours would be great. Gonna meet up with Dave and see what he could make up for me.
Can't get the link to communicate with the laptop. Have a usb adaptor which when plugged in finds and installs the drivers but when i try to connect in pclink it keeps saying cant connect.
Any ideas??
Might try the work laptop in the morning as this on is running vista and other one has xp.
Also done a bit of tuning last night just to see but planning to do the seg fuel injection tomorrow so will have to start again.

Which do you have exactly? A USB link connector box or a serial box with a serial-to-usb adaptor?

see info below

I was wrong. Our website is correct, Link's is wrong. They stopped selling the USB link and just supply serial link with usb adaptor, like we do.

BTW, might be worth running this past Frank to see what he did, fairly sure his is USB (mines serial).

RTLink is worth a download, see here :

Stan Mahaffey's RTLink utility includes a little utility that shows the
available com ports and which are in use - very handy for trouble-shooting
USB to serial convertors. You can download it here:

http://www.flyinmiata.com/support/RTLink.php

Once it's up and running, it integrates seamlessly with Data Log Lab to give
you real-time tuning information and then after the event log analysis in
Data Log Lab.

Thats the image I was looking for! Interesting to see the little filter put on the pipe that comes from the left of the intake manifold , didn't know you could do that..

Nor did i till you pointed it out.
Was down at daves this evening looking at what could be made up in the way of intake.
That little filter could solve a problem.
Think we are looking at something like the first picture i posted.
Still can't get the laptop to work with it though.
