Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a MK1 Vspec that has just failed its NCT on account of the rear side reflectors being red instead of amber. Ive never heard of this before, and it passed its last NCT with the same reflectors, so im presuming this is new policy?! Was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a set of amber reflectors? The place I bought it from suggested spraying them matt black, but I dont think it would look too good on a racing green car, so id rather get the actual amber relflectors but cant seem to locate any on the web. Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the forum,
just screw them off for the next NCT. It's the handiest!

Yeah its always been part of the rules. Tape them up or remove them is indeed the easiest option.
They come up a lot on ebay or someone on here might well have some at the back of the shed.
I sold mine ages ag unfortunately.

I just put insulating tape over mine. The last time I did it, the guy laughed and said to make sure I did the same next time too

Very harsh he didnt tell you to tape them up and then drop the car back again for a visual inspection
You can get used ones here cheap....
